Middlesbrough FC can go top of the Championship tonight if they can end another ancient hoodoo and win at Ipswich Town.

It's 22 years since Boro last tasted success at Portman Road - but Aitor Karanka's side have already shown on two occasions this season that they no longer care about such ancient hexes.

The wins at Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest ended long barren away day runs at Hillsborough and The City Ground respectively, and success in Suffolk tonight would cap off the perfect hat-trick.

It won't be easy against an Ipswich side enjoying a resurgence of late, unbeaten in six and now on the coat-tails of the Championship top six.
