In our Sheffield Wednesday vs Derby County Betting Preview we look at what could be the best possible best between the two sides.

Sheffield Wednesday welcome Derby county to Hillsborough in a top of the table clash that will be shown live on Sky Sports, are Derby ever on sky? Starting with the Home side, Wednesday find themselves in 8th position out of the Play-Offs on just goal difference, so that will be their aim come Sunday Evening to be in the Top 6 of the Championship. Derby are in 3rd position coming into this match after a superb away win at the KC Stadium last Friday night, they’ll be looking for another 3 points on Super Sunday.

Wednesday will want to get back to winning ways after a midweek defeat at the hands of Premier League Stoke, being at home they’ll be more than confident. They’re unbeaten at Hillsborough since back in August when they lost 3-1 to Middlesbrough, since then they’ve won 5 of their 7 Home Games against the likes of Arsenal and Fulham. If they want to be up near the Play-Offs come the end of the season Wednesday need to get something from this game, a run of 3 or 4 wins will see them rocket up the table.

Derby County come into this off the back of a very good win away against Promotion Rivals Hull City, they’ll be wanting 3 more points from this fixture. Bradley Johnson was suspended for that game and Jacob Butterfield scored 2 so Paul Clement has good selection problems, Jeff Hendrick may be the man who makes way for Johnson Derby’s record signing. Derby’s main man Chris Martin hasn’t scored in a while for him so he’ll be looking to get involved and don’t forget Darren Bent is also warming the bench and will want to start getting in on the action.

Sheffield Wednesday have been good at home but I can see Derby slightly edging this one and coming away with all 3 points. Wednesday will certainly put up a fight and will make it difficult for The Rams but they should be able to cope with everything thrown at them.
