This will not be an easy game for Manchester City as they do not have a good record at the Britannia stadium. City have won just one of seven previous visits there but they did managed a win there last season. Stoke are playing well at the moment and booked a spot in the League Cup semi final in midweek, just as Manchester City did.

Stoke lost their last match in the Premier League going down 2-0 at Sunderland. However, that was their second league loss in their last nine so they are not playing badly at the moment. They had won five of their previous seven before that defeat. Stoke won four of their last five wins by 1-0 and they have managed clean sheets in five of their last seven Premier League games. Now it remains to be seen if they can stop City's scoring power ahead of this clash?

Stoke have won only two of their last 14 clashes with Manchester City in the Premier League, and they have lost half of them. However, on home soil, they have lost just one of the seven against City in the Premier League (W1 D5 L1). Stoke have only scored the seven goals in their previous 14 Premier League games against City. They have only managed two wins at home this season as well.

Meanwhile, Manchester City have not done too well on their travels lately. They have not won in their last three away from the Etihad. They have drawn their last two away from home by 0-0, so scoring away from home has been a problem it seems. But one player who can make the difference will be Sergio Aguero who is back in the side now. Aguero has a good record against Stoke scoring five in five Premier League appearances against them. City have only kept two clean sheets on the board in their last nine league games so they are likely to concede in this match.

No doubt that Manchester City are the better side and have the better attacking threat upfront, but their past record at the Britannia is a cause of concern here. I will go for Manchester City to win this match still with Sergio Aguero getting on the scoresheet.
